Since COVID-19, global office fit-out costs have risen sharply due to inflation. Although the pace has slowed, prices remain well above pre-pandemic levels. In Korea, higher construction costs have pushed up rents for new buildings. The combined increase in rents and fit-out costs has become a key factor prompting some occupiers to consider downsizing or relocating to lower-grade buildings.
